Welcome

We are a small rural Pre School/Nursery based at Bacton Primary school in the village of Bacton on the North Norfolk Coast.  Close-by are the villages of Mundesley, Happisburgh, Walcott and the large market town of North Walsham.  We have our own purpose built Nursery and fantastic outdoor play area for our children. Starfish Pre-School welcomes all children and our setting aims to provide high quality care and education for children from 2 years old until starting school.  Starfish was recently inspected by OfSTED alongside the main school and received a very positive outcome.

We work in partnership with parents, the local community and The Coastal Federation of which Bacton Primary School is part.  Being small, but part of a larger organisation, has terrific advantages as we can share resources with the school to help children to learn and develop. Our ambition is to add to the life and well-being of the local community and offer children, parents and their families a service that promotes equality and values diversity.

Clare Cubitt, our Manager, is a graduate of the University of St Andrews, qualified as a teacher at UEA and has many years of Pre-School experience.  She is passionate about providing strong foundations for the start of children's educational journey,  promoting learning by playing and exploring, being active, and through creative and critical thinking which takes place both indoors and outside.

You are very welcome to book an appointment to look around the Starfish setting to see what we are like in the flesh !
